Building Wildfire Resilience Together

  • Pathfinders meeting room 2980 Cedar St San Diego United States (map)

Greater Golden Hill has been selected by the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County and San Diego Canyonlands as one of eight neighborhoods to develop community-led wildfire resilience projects. Our focus will be on making our canyon habitats, and the structures around them, more resilient to fire.

Potential projects will be submitted to the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County’s Regional Priority Plan (RPP). This plan identifies critical wildfire risk-reduction projects and the Resource Conservation District then seeks state funding to help make them happen.

It all starts with us! Join the Greater Golden Hill Fire Safe Council, Preserve Greater Golden Hill, and the GGH Canyon Collective, us to brainstorm potential projects for our canyons. Ideas from the gathering will help shape our RPP submission.
