Reducing excess vegetation around your home is one of the most immediate ways to lower wildfire risk—and it’s becoming increasingly important for maintaining insurance eligibility.

From May 1-15, the Greater Golden Hill Fire Safe Council is placing dumpsters around the perimeter of the canyons in South Park for residents to use to:

• Clear brush, leaves, and overgrowth

• Reduce fuel that can carry fire to your home

• Take a proactive step toward safeguarding your property

Locations are:

• Granada & Fir St (road that ends at 28th St Canyon)

• 1945 33rd Street (end of Grape Street, near 34th St Canyon)

• Cedar & Felton (across from 1603 Cedar)
