28th Street Canyon Community Design Session

  • Southern edge of the Grape Street Dog Park parking lot 1900 28th Street, San Diego, ca (map)

PGGH is in the process of accepting a land donation for the parcels at the base of 28th Street Canyon and is preparing for the first phase of restoring the canyon to a native, fire-resilient landscape.

Building on initial community feedback, we have developed preliminary concepts for the canyon’s future. This open community session will take place on-site and will provide an opportunity to explore current canyon conditions, review what we’ve heard from neighbors, and discuss early restoration and design ideas focused on improving fire resilience, safety, habitat, and community access.

We will also share next steps and opportunities to get involved as we prepare for rehabilitation work beginning later this fall.
