A Quarter Ton of Trash Removed from 26th Street in Just 2 hours!

A good part of the 26th street hill towards Pershing is cleaned up, thanks to 14 community members who showed up to make a difference.

On October 17, volunteers came together for a 26th Street cleanup, and the results were impressive: 532 pounds of trash collected in just two hours!

From everyday litter to discarded tires to box loads of books and discarded clothing, you never know what you'll find when you roll up your sleeves and get to work. These small acts of community stewardship can make a big difference in the places we share.

What's next? We'll discuss the possibility of future 26th Street cleanups at upcoming Preserve Greater Golden Hill (PGGH) meetings. You want to suggest a site? Give us a holler at info@preservegreatergoldenhill.com.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this cleanup a success. Together, we're making Greater Golden Hill a cleaner, healthier place to live!
